Workflow Automation and Workflow Management are two processes derived from the concept of workflow, which despite seeming similar in some aspects, still distinctly stand apart from each other. But what exactly are these two processes? Do their similarities allow them to be used interchangeably? And if not, which process is better than the other for a firm? Let’s find out.
The process of Workflow Automation refers to the use of rule-based logic to launch a series of various tasks that run on their own accord, without the need for any human intervention. It is automated to accomplish a variety of tasks, such as sending e-mails, setting up reminders, scheduling tasks triggering campaigns, and many more- without the team being required to touch a single button.

After taking all of that information into consideration, it’s imperative to note that both Workflow Automation and Workflow Management processes help an organization achieve a lot more than it is capable of without them. They are both great tools that every company should invest in to achieve their business goals. But then what should you do? Which is better? I guess that simply depends upon what the organization needs and which process helps them satisfy those needs easily and efficiently. In my personal opinion, I guess an organization should focus on Workflow Management as it has a wider scope, deals with macro-level operations, and is proportionately more valuable for the firm.
